It’s official: Formula 1 is returning to Portugal in 2027. The Portuguese Grand Prix will take place from 18 to 20 June at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão.
After a few years of waiting, Portuguese fans finally have a date to mark on their calendars. The last Formula 1 race in Portugal took place in 2021, also at the Algarve circuit.
The return promises to bring back that special atmosphere that only a Grand Prix can create: thousands of fans, plenty of excitement, and the thrill of watching the world’s best drivers in action.
For those planning to attend in person, there’s another important date to remember: the first tickets will go on sale on 21 September 2026.
Portimão is getting ready to welcome back one of the biggest spectacles in world motorsport.
June 2027 already has a destination: the Algarve. And Formula 1 is back.
